I have been a lifelong learner, dedicated to the search for knowledge and deeper understanding of the universe that surrounds me. My formal education was in the discipline(s) of sociology, anthropology, and ethnic studies. As a former professor of mine would say, “I am polyamorous in my study of disciplines,” and such is the case for me. I have been passionate and deeply interested in a slew of topics, which I have utilized to create an intersectional and interdisciplinary approach to my work. My practice is rooted in and has focused on understanding Power & Power Dynamics, the Carceral State, Gender & Sexuality, Feminist Theory, Intersectionality, US Race & Identity Politic, Queer Theory, Indigenous Methodologies, Traditional Indigenous Knowledge, and Environmental Sustainability. My work is heavily influenced by the following scholars, theorists, and intellectuals:

As such, I do not claim to be an ‘expert’ in anything, nor do I seek to reach a level of mastery, completion, or competence around my professional practice. I am a learner, and I am here to encourage, engage, collaborate, and connect with others in a learning environment.
